Job Summary:
The Fuel Station Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fuel station, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and high-quality customer service. This role involves managing staff, monitoring inventory, handling finances, and implementing marketing initiatives to maximize profitability. The manager will ensure the station operates smoothly while maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily station activities, including fuel sales, convenience store operations, and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure pumps, dispensers, and point-of-sale systems function efficiently. Implement standard operating procedures for operational excellence.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise station staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage performance evaluations.
- Promote a positive work environment, ensuring teamwork and accountability.
Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining friendly and professional service.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Financial Management:
- Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and banking procedures.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budget planning.
- Implement strategies to increase revenue from fuel, convenience store, and other services.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all environmental, safety, and fire regulations. Maintain proper storage and handling of fuel and hazardous materials.
- Conduct regular safety drills and staff training sessions.
Inventory and Supply Chain:
- Monitor fuel and merchandise stock levels; coordinate timely ordering and deliveries.
- Minimize wastage and pilferage through effective inventory management.
Marketing and Community Engagement:
- Promote loyalty programs, discounts, and special promotions.
- Build positive relationships with local communities and businesses.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Management, Operations, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in retail or fuel station management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of fuel operations, safety protocols, and financial management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
