Pezesha Africa is seeking a results-driven Field Collections & Recoveries Officer to support portfolio recoveries through direct customer engagement. This is a commission-based role with an attractive performance-driven compensation structure, making it ideal for individuals with prior collections experience who are motivated by results and strong earning potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field visits, negotiating repayment solutions, supporting legal recovery processes, and working closely with internal teams to improve recovery outcomes while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-ground recovery follow-ups for non-responsive and long-overdue accounts.
• Negotiate repayment plans and restructuring arrangements where applicable.
• Capture and report real-time field insights to support portfolio management and credit decision-making.
• Serve demand letters and collaborate with the legal team on recovery activities.
• Drive portfolio recovery targets through consistent customer engagement.
• Improve repayment outcomes through face-to-face interactions.
• Strengthen customer accountability while maintaining professionalism and trust.
• Support customer rehabilitation and potential re-entry into the lending cycle where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, commitments, and recovery actions taken.

Requirements

• Prior experience in collections, recoveries, debt management, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage difficult customer conversations professionally and effectively.
• Good reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively and conduct field visits.
• High levels of integrity, accountability, resilience, and self-motivation.
• Familiarity with financial services, lending, or microfinance operations is an added advantage.

Compensation Structure

This role is primarily commission-based. A minimum transport and data allowance will be provided as the only fixed compensation.

The baseline monthly collections target is UGX 4,000,000.

The commission structure is as follows:

Monthly Collections Achieved:

• Below UGX 4,000,000- 2% commission rate
• UGX 4,000,001 – UGX 12,000,000- 10% commission rate
• UGX 12,000,001 – UGX 20,000,000- 15% commission rate
• Above UGX 20,000,000- 20% commission rate

Each Collections Officer will be assigned specific customer accounts for performance tracking and commission calculations.
