As part of its commitment to developing a highly skilled and future-ready workforce, WITU
established the Women’s Institute of Technology and Innovation (WITI), a technology-focused
institution dedicated to providing industry-relevant education and practical training in computing,
innovation, and entrepreneurship. WITI bridges the gap between education and employment by
equipping learners with the technical, professional, and problem-solving skills required to succeed
in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Hiring Objective
To deliver high-quality, industry-relevant web development training that equips students with
practical technical skills, fosters innovation and problem-solving, and prepares graduates for
successful careers in software and web development.
Scope of Work and Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
• Deliver engaging and practical web development lessons to Diploma students in Computer
Science.
• Facilitate both theoretical and hands-on learning experiences using industry-standard tools and
technologies.
• Guide students in applying classroom knowledge to real-world web development projects.
• Promote active learning, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
Curriculum Development
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, practical exercises, and assessments aligned with
curriculum requirements and industry standards.
• Review and update course content to reflect emerging technologies, industry trends, and best
practices.
• Contribute to curriculum improvement initiatives and academic planning activities.
Student Mentorship and Support
• Mentor students throughout their learning journey and provide academic guidance where
required.
• Support students in developing professional portfolios and project documentation.
• Supervise practical assignments, capstone projects, and final-year projects.
• Monitor student performance and provide timely feedback to support continuous improvement.
Industry Integration and Innovation
• Introduce students to modern development practices, frameworks, and tools.
• Train students in the use of version control systems, project management platforms, hosting
environments, and deployment tools.
• Encourage innovation, creativity, teamwork, and professional ethics.
• Promote industry-relevant skills that enhance graduate employability.
Assessment and Academic Administration
• Develop and administer assessments, examinations, and practical evaluations.
• Mark assignments and examinations in accordance with institutional policies.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit academic reports within required timelines.
• Participate in academic meetings, departmental activities, and quality assurance processes.
Professional Development
• Stay current with advancements in web development technologies and instructional
methodologies.
• Participate in professional development activities and institutional learning initiatives.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the academic department.

• Training Notes and Learning Materials.
• Student Assessments and Examination Reports.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a
related field.
• Professional certifications in web development or related technologies are an added advantage.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in web development.
• Experience teaching, training, mentoring, or facilitating technical learning programs is an added
advantage.
• Demonstrated proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, databases, and modern web development
frameworks.
• Experience supervising student projects or mentoring junior developers is desirable.
• Familiarity with version control systems, project management tools, and deployment platforms.
