Position: Tax Manager
Kampala, Uganda | Partner-Track Position
At Crowe Uganda, we are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead complex tax advisory, transfer pricing, compliance, and dispute resolution engagements.
As a member firm of Crowe Global, you will work directly with partners on high-profile assignments involving multinational groups, major local businesses, and tax matters before the Uganda Revenue Authority and Tax Appeals Tribunal.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead corporate tax, VAT, PAYE, WHT, and excise duty engagements.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation and audit defence.
- Lead URA audits, objections, reviews, and dispute resolution matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Mentor and develop junior tax professionals.
- Contribute to business development and practice growth.
Requirements
- CPA(U), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Taxation, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years’ tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and URA practice.
- Proven experience leading tax audits, assessments, objections, and advisory engagements.
Preferred: ADIT, postgraduate tax qualification, transfer pricing expertise, and multinational/cross-border experience.
