Position: Front Desk Receptionist / Guest Relations Officer 2
Department: Front Office
Reports To: Front Office Supervisor / Hotel Manager
Job Purpose
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the face of the hotel and is responsible for creating a positive first impression for guests. The role involves managing guest arrivals and departures, handling reservations, responding to inquiries, processing payments, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the guest’s stay.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
* Conduct efficient guest check-in and check-out procedures.
* Receive, confirm, modify, and cancel reservations through various channels.
* Maintain accurate guest records and room allocation information.
* Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to emails promptly.
* Provide information about hotel facilities, services, local attractions, and transportation.
* Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
* Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness.
* Process payments, issue invoices, and maintain cash handling procedures.
* Prepare daily reports and occupancy summaries.
* Promote hotel services, packages, and special offers.
* Maintain confidentiality of guest information.
* Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or related field.
* Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is an added advantage.

Job Purpose
The Room Service Attendant is responsible for delivering food, beverages, and other guest requests to guest rooms in a timely, courteous, and professional manner while ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Receive and process room service orders accurately.
* Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
* Set up in-room dining arrangements according to hotel procedures.
* Explain menu items and daily specials when necessary.
* Ensure all orders are complete before delivery.
* Collect used trays, dishes, and service equipment from guest rooms.
* Maintain cleanliness of room service equipment and workstations.
* Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and reception.
* Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
* Maintain hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
* Assist with banquet and restaurant operations when required.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Catering, or related field.
* Previous experience in food service is an added advantage.

Job Purpose
The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities are maintained in a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming condition in accordance with hotel standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including bedrooms, bathrooms, balconies, and corridors.
* Change bed linens and replace used towels.
* Replenish room amenities and guest supplies.
* Vacuum, dust, mop, and sanitize designated areas.
* Inspect rooms to ensure they meet hotel quality standards.
* Report maintenance issues and damaged property promptly.
* Handle lost and found items according to hotel policy.
* Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
* Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
* Assist in cleaning public areas, conference rooms, and recreational facilities when required.
* Observe all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent.
* A certificate in Housekeeping or Hospitality is an added advantage.
* Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas while supporting efficient kitchen operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
* Maintain cleanliness of food preparation and storage areas.
* Ensure proper disposal of waste and garbage.
* Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies.
* Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
* Support kitchen staff during busy operational periods.
* Clean kitchen floors, walls, refrigerators, and storage areas.
* Assist with inventory management when required.
* Observe occupational health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A certificate in Catering, Hospitality, or a related field is an added advantage.

* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
* Support conferences, meetings, banquets, weddings, and special events.
* Work collaboratively with kitchen and front office teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality, Catering, Hotel Management, or related field.
* Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality establishment is preferred.
