Responsible for the maximization of financial performance and strategic growth by optimizing Data revenue streams and managing a portfolio of products. This involves analysing the competitive and operating market context in addition to value extraction opportunities within the existing base and proposing and evaluating commercial initiatives to drive growth.

The role involves providing strategic recommendations to inform strategies on pricing, product and value proposition.

Job Title: Manager – Data Revenue

Reports to: Senior Manager – Consumer Segments

Main Job Functions:

Responsible for driving  Data subscriber base and revenue growth initiatives:

  • Analyze internal and external reports on market trends, customer behavior, services portfolio, and pricing models to identify revenue growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with GTM streams in consumer, brand and communications to drive customer engagement for the products and services.
  • Monitor Data portfolio performance using metrics like customer, bundle subscription, average spend per user, Data traffic and effective rates and provide management with recommendations
  • Collaborate with commercial planning and business intelligence analysts to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities and assess the impact of pricing, products and promotions, providing data-driven insights to management decisions
  • Prepare regular reports on portifolio performance to inform management on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Provide input assuptions for growth of the Data portifolio during the planning and budgeting cycles
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual implementation plans for integration into the consumer and marketing divisional planning
  • Collaborate with customer value management and consumer segment teams to ensure customer targeting, bonuses and messaging are designed optimally for portifolio growth
  • Work closely with product development teams to ensure complete testing of product changes before go-to-market
  • Continually test and report on full functionality status of all products and services under their portifolio and their competitiveness in the market

Education

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any business related fields of commerce, economics, statistics or computing
  • A Postgraduate qualitification in marketing or business analytics is an added advantage
  • Proficient with MS Office application especially Excel and Power Point or AI presentation tools
  • Proficiency in basic analysis and performance reporting

Work Experience 

  • 5 years’ experience in a relevant field.
  • experience in business analysis, pricing, and product or portifolio management
  • Experience in Business analysis and reporting for telecommunications is desirable
  • Experience in hands-on price modelling

Skills / physical competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in  advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint or AI presentation tools
  • Solid understanding of telecom industry KPIs, revenue streams, and operational metrics.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to work datasets to derive commercial insight
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and results-driven approach.
  • Experience in pricing and performance reporting
  • Proactively identifies issues and proposes data-driven solutions
  • Can align performance metrics with long-term business goals.
  • Able to clearly present findings and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Works effectively across departments and builds strong relationships
  • Exercises independent judgement and articulates their opininon freely
