UTCL is located along the Kampala Jinja highway near Lugazi municipal council in Buikwe district approximately 48 kilometers from Kampala City and 40 Kilometers from Jinja opposite Mt ST Mary’s College Namagunga.
Salama Coffee is a leading Coffee producer in Uganda on the shores of Lake Victoria, generating over 2 million kilograms cherries annually. The company serves both international markets (80%) and local markets (20%).
Additional activities include Tea, Afforestation, Coffee, Cocoa, Sugar-Cane and Banana farming.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Coffee Manager will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all coffee operations, from field operations, cherry reception to color sorting, ensuring maximum efficiency, premium product quality, and compliance with food safety and industry standards.
- The role is responsible for managing production teams, optimizing factory performance, implementing quality assurance systems, oversesing equipment maintenance, and coordinating production planning to achieve operational targets while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Food Science or a related field.
- Seven 17) years of progressive experience in coffee agronomic practices, processing and factory operations, with expertise from therry reception to agronomic
- Strong knowledge of coffee agronomic practices, coffee
processing techniques, quality assurance, grading,
production planning, and factory operations. - Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities
