Description
Position: Accountant
Essential Qualities
- A degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or commerce.
- Knowledge of accounting programmes especially Sage x3 is an added advantage.
- Minimum level 3 CPA OR ACCA
Additional Qualifications
- Outstanding attention to detail
- The capacity to operate both independently and cooperatively in a financial team
- Computer literates in Microsoft 365
- applications
Key Responsibilities.
- Reconciliation of the bank statements, Airtel, and MtN against the internal records on a weekly basis
- Management of asset registers and depreciation runs together with capitalization of assets on monthly basis.
- Track CAPEX spent vs Budgets for reporting to management
- Maintenance and storage of financial documents in compliance with auditing policies and procedures
- Assisting with year-end and month-end closing procedures
- Laise with Internal and external Auditors plus URA and Insurance.
- Preparing reporting packs and month-end journal postings for the finance department.
- Take ownership of Accruals and Prepaid Expense accounts
- Provide support and backup to the Finance Manager
- Provide ad hoc support to the Group Finance Manager in South Africa
- Provide support to junior staff members within the finance team

Salary package will be based on experience.
