Lotus Brand is hiring an Internal Auditor
Lotus Brand is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team in Uganda. The Internal Auditor will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. This position involves conducting independent and objective audits, identifying improvement areas, and providing management recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits by the annual audit plan.
- Identify and evaluate key risks and controls within the organization.
- Develop and execute audit programs, including documenting audit procedures and findings.
- Perform testing and analysis to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Communicate audit results to management and provide actionable insights.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Stay current with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a strong control environment.
- Participate in special projects and investigations as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation or progress toward certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal audit or a related field.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in data analysis and audit software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
