Description

NADO-U is an independent body established under the National Sports Act, 2023 (as amended), mandated to promote clean sport, protect athletes and uphold the integrity of sport in Uganda.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans for the following position:

TESTING OFFICER – 1 POSITION

Salary Scale: NU-4 | Duty Station: Kampala / Contract: 3 Years, Renewable

Ref: ADM/01/07/2026-10 | Reports to: Human Capital & Administration Manager

Job Purpose

To plan, deliver and monitor a risk based, intelligence led testing programme for athletes in line with international standards and the operational plan

Roles and Responsibilities.

  • Plan, implement and monitor testing programmes in line with the annual testing distribution plan and ISTI requirements NADO U’s operational plan and applicable WADA requirements.
  • Manage testing information in the Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS).
  • Ensure compliance with the Technical Document for Sport Specific Analysis (TDSSA) and analyse intelligence and testing data for risk-based decision-making
  • Coordinate Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) testing plans, Manage the National Registered Testing Pool (NRTP) and Domestic Testing Pool (DTP) to facilitate effective out-of-competition testing.
  • Coordinate testing missions with Doping Control Officers and establish effective working relationships with WADA, ADOs, sports federations and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualification:

Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science, Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Project Planning & Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies or Social Sciences from a recognised institution. Experience working within health or sports science environments is an added advantage.
