Job Purpose & Main
Mission
The Category Growth Executive – Child Nutrition will be responsible for driving the growth,
visibility, availability, and sales performance of the company’s child nutrition portfolio
across key channels including hospitals, pharmacies, modern trade, general trade, baby
shops, childcare institutions, and healthcare professional networks.
The role will focus on building strong distribution, improving product awareness,
supporting medical and retail engagement, executing category activations, tracking sales
performance, and ensuring compliant communication for child nutrition products.
Job Summary
The Category Growth Executive – Child Nutrition will play a key role in expanding the child
nutrition business by improving distribution, strengthening retail and medical channel
presence, executing awareness initiatives, and supporting sustainable category growth
while ensuring full compliance with product communication guidelines.
Responsibilities
Category Growth & Sales Development
• Drive sales growth for the child nutrition portfolio across assigned markets and
channels.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in hospitals, pharmacies, clinics,
baby shops, modern trade, and general trade.
• Support the launch and expansion of child nutrition products through structured
market development plans.
• Ensure product availability, visibility, and proper stock rotation at all key accounts.
• Track sales performance by SKU, channel, customer, and region.
Channel Development
• Build and manage strong relationships with supermarket chains, and wholesalers.
• Identify high-potential accounts and convert them into active buying customers.
• Support listing, reordering, and product education at key retail and healthcare
outlets.
• Develop special focus plans for priority channels such as pharmacies, hospitals,
baby shops, and child care homes.
Trade Marketing & Activations

• Execute in-store visibility, sampling, consumer education, and retailer engagement
activities.
• Coordinate promoter deployment, training, daily reporting, and performance
tracking.
• Support category campaigns, product launches, awareness drives, and market
activations.
• Ensure availability of POS materials, shelf branding, posters, brochures, and
product information tools.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking
• Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, packaging, claims, channel presence, and
consumer feedback.
• Track market trends in infant formula, growing-up milk, cereals, fortified milk
powders, and child nutrition products.
• Share regular market insights and recommendations with management.
• Identify gaps in pricing, distribution, communication, and product positioning.
Compliance & Product Knowledge
• Ensure all product communication follows local regulations, company guidelines,
and child nutrition marketing standards.
• Maintain strong knowledge of product benefits, ingredients, usage instructions,
age suitability, and regulatory requirements.
• Train sales teams, promoters, and retail staff on correct product handling and
communication.
• Avoid making unapproved medical, health, or comparative claims.

Person Specification
Education, Training,
Skills & Experience
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Nutrition, Food Science,
Pharmacy, or related field.
Experience
• 2–4 years of experience in FMCG, nutrition, healthcare, pharmaceutical, dairy, or
baby care categories.
TNC-MP-JD-001
• Experience in hospital, pharmacy, or medical channel sales will be an added
advantage.
• Experience handling infant formula, growing-up milk, fortified milk powder,
cereals, dairy products, or healthcare-related FMCG products.
• Existing network with FMCG shopkeepers, wholesellers and distributors.
• Experience managing promoters, sampling activities, or category activations.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong sales and business development skills.
• Good understanding of FMCG distribution and retail channels.
• Ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacists, retailers,
and distributors.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Good reporting, data analysis, and market mapping ability.
• High level of discipline, follow-up, and execution focus.
• Knowledge of child nutrition products and regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and travel within assigned territories.
