Economic Policy Affairs Manager
Reporting:Head of Advocacy & Corporate Communications
Supervising:Policy Research Analysts
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Support the execution of advocacy strategies and programs in line with departmental objectives.
•Monitor and track relevant policies, legislation, and regulatory developments affecting the business.
•Conduct research and analysis on public policy issues and industry trends.
•Assist in preparing policy briefs, position papers, reports, and presentations.
•Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, regulators, and industry bodies.
•Coordinate meetings, forums, and engagements with external stakeholders.
•Represent the Supervisor in selected industry engagements and advocacy platforms as assigned.
•Support internal communication of policy updates and advocacy priorities.
•Maintain a database of stakeholders and track engagement outcomes.
•Assist in identifying advocacy risks and opportunities and escalate appropriately.
•Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
Academic Qualification, Skills & Experience
•Master’s degree in law, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
•3 years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, finance, economics or a related role.
•Membership to a Professional Body in Economics, Statistics, Law, Government Relations is desirable
•Basic understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
•Experience in stakeholder engagement is an added advantage.
•Strong research and analytical skills.
•Good communication and report writing abilities.
•Interpersonal and relationship management skills.
