Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving patients, registering admissions, discharges and deaths.
- Providing care to patients and pregnant mothers.
- Participating in bedside nursing procedures as a member of the caring team.
- Participating in Doctors/elinical officer’s ward rounds.
- Observing and compiling daily ward reports for the attention of the relevant authorities
- Managing and accounting for allocated resources.
- Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the patients.
- Order and receive drugs from pharmacy, and administer drugs to patients
- Look after dressing packs and equipment
- Prepare patients for operations
- Supervise junior staff
- Take observations and Lab specimen samples from paticnts
- Adhering Adhering to professional code of conduct and Ethics.
- Teach student nurses On the wards
- Prepare patients for treatment referral
- Any other duty assigned by the In-charge.
PLEASE NOTE:
(Training in Palliative care is an added advantage)
