Role Overview

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager who’s hands-on, resourceful, and equally comfortable running a market activation in downtown Kampala as they are launching an influencer campaign or editing a customer testimonial reel.

This is a hybrid role that blends offline marketing and field support with digital campaign execution ideal for someone who can think strategically, execute quickly, and leverage AI tools to get more done with less.

 

Responsibilities

Offline Marketing & Field Support

Lead local activations, events, and brand presence at markets, fairs, and pop-up booths
Support and coordinate offline sales campaigns (e.g., branded trucks, radio, flyers, field teams)
Work closely with sales agents to align on-ground efforts with marketing goals

 

Digital Marketing & Content Production

Schedule and send email campaigns using tools like Mailchimp or Brevo
Upload blog content, manage website updates (no coding needed)
Plan and shoot short-form videos (e.g., social media reels, customer testimonials, influencer content)
Publish content across social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
Collaborate with and manage local influencers

 

AI & Automation

Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva, Runway, Descript) to generate copy, edit video, and scale content
Identify ways to automate repetitive marketing tasks and increase content output

 

Requirements

3+ years experience in marketing, with both offline and digital exposure
Proven experience organizing events, field activations, or sales campaigns
Confident using digital tools for social media, email, blog publishing
Comfortable producing video content (phone + basic editing tools)
Familiarity with AI tools for writing, design, or video editing
Highly organized, creative, and proactive
Fluent in English and Luganda a plus
Experience in fintech, telecom, FMCG, or agency work preferred

Bonus

Experience working with micro-businesses or informal markets
Background in influencer management
Strong understanding of the Ugandan digital landscape
