Procurement Officer

Masheda Palms Resort

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential for the resort’s daily operations. This includes food and beverage supplies, maintenance materials, furniture, linens, and guest amenities. The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Planning:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the resort’s operational needs and budget.

2. Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers; negotiate contracts and terms.

3. Purchasing Operations:

Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure that items are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

4.Inventory Coordination:

Collaborate with the inventory and store team to maintain optimal stock levels, avoid shortages, and reduce excess inventory.

5. Cost Control:

Monitor market trends and pricing to obtain the best value while maintaining product quality.

6.Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure all procurement activities are in line with company policies, health and safety standards, and legal regulations.

7.Reporting:

Prepare regular reports on purchases, pricing trends, supplier performance, and budget adherence.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
2+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Karibu or other ERP systems).
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Knowledge of local and international sourcing is an asset.

Working Conditions:

Office-based with frequent interaction with various departments (kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, etc.).
Occasional site visits to local suppliers or markets.
May involve working weekends or holidays depending on resort operations.
