Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Medical Representative to promote and expand
the presence of our Infant Formula Milk Powder range across Uganda. The ideal candidate
will have proven experience in detailing and selling infant nutrition products, with strong
networks in hospitals, pediatricians, pharmacies, and childcare institutions. This role
combines product knowledge with relationship-building skills to drive prescription
generation and sales growth.
Responsibilities
Sales & Promotion
• Promote Infant Formula Milk Powder (all stages) to pediatricians, nutritionists,
gynecologists, pharmacists, and healthcare institutions.
• Generate demand and ensure consistent sales through prescriptions and
recommendations.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as assigned.
Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and
decision-makers.
• Conduct regular visits to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and child-care homes to
ensure visibility and product advocacy.
• Organize and participate in CMEs (Continuing Medical Education programs),
product presentations, and medical seminars.
Market Development
• Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution in assigned territories.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends; provide timely feedback to
management.
• Collaborate with the sales and trade marketing teams to ensure product availability
and visibility in pharmacies and retail outlets.
Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure all promotional activities strictly adhere to local regulations and WHO Code
on the Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes (BMS).
• Maintain accurate records of calls, prescriptions, sales performance, and customer
interactions.
• Submit daily/weekly activity reports and update CRM systems as required

Skills & Experience
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Nutrition, or related field.
Experience & Competencies
• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Medical Representative, specifically in Infant
Formula Milk Powder or pediatric nutrition products.
• Strong network and established relationships within the medical fraternity in
Uganda.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Target-driven with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High integrity, professionalism, and understanding of compliance guidelines for
infant nutrition products.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within Uganda.
