QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client SINOPEC, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to work on Site.
JOB OBJECTIVE
- To implement and manage SINOPEC’s quality assurance processes by analyzing and evaluating project needs, requirements, quality risks and areas for improvement.
- To develop, review, update, and implement across project areas – procedures, work instruction, guidelines, and forms that will ensure higher quality products/services or methods that meet the customer needs & expectations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Description
Budgets and Plans:
- When required by management, contribute to budget preparation and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the department is aware of anticipated costs and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
Quality Plan and Parameters:
Assist Quality Management Team:
– to collect, analyze, and report the KPIs relevant to the quality performance of SINOPEC, i.e., customer satisfaction, process efficiency, nonconformities, and ensuring that these measures and indicators are within specifications as per the Quality Plan.
– conduct periodic monitoring and measurement of the Quality Plan.
– determine and develop an approach to a wide range of issues and problems. Solutions must be thorough, practical, and consistent with the organization’s objective
Quality Control:
- Implement and control the quality process activities in accordance with standards, company procedures, customer specifications and requirements.
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations; and ensure all quality specifications and compliance requirements are met.
Project Management System:
Assist the Quality Management Team:
– to design systems of recording and analyzing the development of quality control inspection requirements and techniques, and the interpretation of product & service quality trends.
– to develop, review, update, and implement procedures, work instructions, guidelines, and forms that will ensure higher quality products/services or methods that meet the customer needs & expectations.
– to monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Audits:
- Assist the Quality Management Team in developing audit plans in line with Project requirements.
- Perform audits in Projects as per the project management plan and prepare audit reports and non-conformance reports.
- Guide in the preparation and implementation of corrective actions on time by keeping a track of non-conformance status log.
Continuous Improvement and Customer Feedback:
- Identify improvement areas/ deficiencies in operational activities and weaknesses in systems and procedures and give recommendations to process owners for their action.
- Support internal and external customer satisfaction surveys by gathering information around KPI’s and analyzing the feedback so that survey results can be used to identify areas of improvement and tackle any non-conformities.
Statement and Reports:
- Prepare and/or review reports (non-conformity, preventive and corrective action reports, KPI’s, customer satisfaction survey, customer feedback, etc.) timely and accurately to meet SINOPEC & its client’s requirements.
Related Assignments:
- Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Internal/Lead Auditor Certification
Minimum Experience:
- At least 10 years’ experience in Quality Management / Project Management relevant field within a similar industry activity, preferably oil & gas, petrochemicals, etc.
- Direct related experience on various project phases, i.e. Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Precommissioning/Commissioning, and Final Handover.
- Hands-on experience in Final Handover Documentation preparation activities to ensure a smooth handover.
- Possesses technical knowledge concerning materials and construction inspection requirements.
- Knowledge in ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, BS Codes, ISO Standards and other international standards in the oil and gas industry.
