NetbuzzAfrica.com is hiring fully Remote Journalism Interns (unpaid) for aspiring journalists to sharpen their skills, build a strong portfolio, and work on impactful news stories across multiple digital platforms.

As a Remote Journalism Intern, you will contribute to news writing, content creation, multimedia production, and audience engagement. Success in this role means delivering high-quality, engaging stories, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating creativity and accuracy in reporting. This internship is an opportunity to work closely with experienced editors and digital media professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced news environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research, write, and edit news articles on politics, entertainment, music, lifestyle, business, and trending topics.
  • Generate creative story ideas aligned with NetbuzzAfrica.com’s editorial vision.
  • Optimize content for SEO to maximize reach and visibility.
  • Engage audiences on social media by crafting compelling posts and multimedia content.
  • Conduct interviews and fact-check information to ensure journalistic accuracy.
  • Collaborate with editors, designers, and video journalists to enhance content quality.
  • Stay updated on digital media trends to create engaging, data-driven content.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A strong passion for journalism, storytelling, and digital media.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Basic understanding of storytelling and reporting, social media, or multimedia content creation is a plus.
  • A laptop, smartphone, or tablet with an active internet connection is required.
