On behalf of our client, Q Sourcing Limited is hiring a competent, skilled, and experienced Secretary   to work in  Soroti, Uganda. He/She will provide administrative support to the Project Management Unit (PMU) and the Financial Manager. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage various administrative tasks efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, type, and collate reports as required by the PMU and Financial Manager.
  • Maintain filing systems and ensure easy access to important documents.
  • Assist in organizing workshops and events in coordination with the PMU.
  • Serve as a receptionist, greeting office guests and managing visitor flow.
  • Provide support to the Administrative Assistant with any administrative or logistical needs.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Project Manager or Financial Manager.
  • Manage appointments and schedules for the Financial Manager and the PMU team.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Advanced proficiency in the English language.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (with proof of ability required).
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the secretarial/administrative field, ideally in international organizations, NGOs, or private companies operating in East Africa.
