Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) is hiring a Stores Assistant
Reports to: Head Stores
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming stock, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
- Properly store items in designated locations while maintaining a clean and organized storage space.
- Issue and dispatch stock as per approved requests, ensuring proper documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records and conduct periodic stock-taking exercises.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and storage regulations, including proper handling of sensitive materials.
- Prepare and submit stock reports to the Procurement & Logistics Officer.
- Assist in the disposal of obsolete or expired stock in accordance with institutional guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Business Administration.
- A minimum of 1 (one) year of relevant experience, preferably in a research, healthcare, or NGO setting.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) is preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain accurate records.
