Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Administrator & Support specialist to manage the day-to-day technology needs of our people and workplace. You will be responsible for ensuring that every team member has the right equipment, access, and support from their first day and that all IT assets, licences, and network devices are properly managed throughout their lifecycle.

This is a hands-on operational role. You will be the first point of contact for internal IT support and the person who keeps our workplace technology running smoothly, securely, and in compliance with company policy.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding, Offboarding & User Lifecycle

  • Manage end-to-end IT onboarding for new hires — account creation, equipment setup, access provisioning, and orientation on internal tools and policies.
  • Handle IT offboarding — retrieval of equipment, revocation of access, handover documentation, and asset return to inventory.
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and group memberships across company platforms.

Equipment & Asset Management

  • Issue, configure, and deploy IT equipment (laptops, monitors, peripherals, mobile devices) to staff.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records — hardware, software, and licences — including assignment, condition, warranty, and location.
  • Monitor equipment usage, health, and performance to identify issues proactively and ensure responsible use of company assets.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, repairs, and warranty claims.

License Management

  • Manage software licenses across the organization — procurement, allocation, renewal tracking, and compliance.
  • Ensure license usage aligns with vendor terms and internal policy.

Network & Workplace Technology

  • Manage and register network devices including Wi-Fi access points, printers, conferencing equipment, and other shared office technology.
  • Maintain stable office connectivity and basic LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Support and manage shared infrastructure in coordination with the engineering team where required.

End-User Support

  • Provide Level 1 (L1) support — troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues for staff.
  • Provide L1 support for internal business systems (ERP modules, BSS, and other internal platforms), escalating to engineering where needed.
  • Ensure IT support aligns with internal policies and industry standards.

Data Integrity & Security

  • Implement and maintain basic security measures including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), endpoint protection, and access controls.
  • Safeguard company data from threats such as ransomware and unauthorised access.
  • Maintain reliable data backup practices for end-user devices to prevent downtime and data loss.

Documentation & Process

  • Maintain documentation of IT processes, asset registers, onboarding/offboarding checklists, and support procedures.
  • Track system performance and ensure optimal availability of workplace IT services.

Why BCS is a Fit for You

We believe in building a workplace where people feel valued, empowered, and inspired to do their best work. You’ll be part of a regional team shaping the future of connectivity in Africa and growing with it.
