Public Relations Officer
About the Role
Fidelis Leadership Institute (FLI) is seeking a dynamic, creative, and experienced Public Relations Officer to serve as the voice and face of the Institute. The successful candidate will lead strategic communication initiatives, strengthen stakeholder engagement, enhance brand visibility, and support FLI’s mission of creating a critical mass of transformational leaders for Africa.
What You Will Do
- Strategy: Create annual PR, communication, and publicity plans.
- Media: Write press releases, pitch to media houses, and coordinate interviews/briefings.
- Content: Manage social media, newsletters, website copy, and promotional materials.
- Events: Publicize conferences, webinars, forums, and impact stories.
- Executive Support: Write speeches, talking points, and briefing notes for leadership.
What You Need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Comms, PR, Jour-nalism, or Marketing (Master’s is a plus).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in PR, corporate communications, or media relations.
- Skills: Strong English writing, digital/social media platform management, and existing media contacts (highly valued).
