About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Human Resource Officer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career HR professional with hands-on exposure to microfinance or SACCO operations to grow their career with us.
Key Responsibilities

– Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases

– Assist with staff attendance, leave management, and payroll input

– Support performance management and staff appraisal processes

– Help implement HR policies and ensure compliance with labor laws

– Coordinate staff training and development activitie

– Handle employee relations and address basic staff welfare matters

– Assist in disciplinary and grievance handling processes
Qualifications & Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field

– Minimum of 1 year of experience in HR preferably within a microfinance institution or SACCO

– Good understanding of Uganda’s labor laws and HR best practices

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

– High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail

– Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
