Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kampala. The Accountant will perform key financial operations, including maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and managing budgets. Additional responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with other team members to streamline financial processes and provide accurate reports to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail for financial forecasting and reconciliations
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey financial information clearly
• Proven ability to manage tax filings and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or other relevant professional certification is highly preferred
• Previous experience in the print, promotional, or signage industry is an advantage
