The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, with financing from the Government of Uganda, invites applications for Apprenticeship Training Opportunities under the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP).
Programme Benefits
The programme provides a unique opportunity for apprentices to:
i. Receive structured, hands-on training and practical experience under the supervision of professionals and mentors in a chosen occupation or trade.
ii. Develop essential workforce skills, opening clear career pathways and enhancing employability, while supporting employers in building a skilled, motivated, and loyal workforce.
iii. Contribute meaningfully to national development.
iv. Build valuable networks with industry professionals.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
a) Hold at least a UCE Certificate, UACE Certificate, Diploma, Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
b) Have graduated within the last five years (2021 to date);
c) Be between 18 and 35 years of age at the time of application;
d) Demonstrate a strong interest in the priority occupation applied for;
e) Possess basic communication skills, a willingness to learn, and adaptability to different work environments;
f) Be available for the full duration of the Apprenticeship Programme as specified; and
g) Be medically fit to undertake fieldwork or practical assignments required in the chosen occupation.
