WHAT IS THE BANK OF UGANDA HACKATHON?
Teams comprising 3-6 members with relevant IT skills will compete to develop practical digital solutions such as mobile applications or automated workflows – within a 48-hour period.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Be a student at an institution registered and operating in Uganda.
- Have a background in technology or innovation. A participant with a technology background is expected to have expertise in software development, data science, systems engineering or security engineering. A participant with an innovation background is expected to be knowledgeable in UX design, behavioural research, or other social science research.
Be able to participate in developing a technology-based solution which has a demonstrable digital component
- Be willing to participate in the Hackathon as a member of a team made up of between 3 and 6 members. Teams will be assigned by the Hackathon organizers.
- Be available to participate physically in the Hackathon which will be held from 10 – 13 July 2026
