1. Background & Position Overview
Research Analytics International is seeking qualified, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Field Enumerators to conduct primary quantitative and qualitative data collection across selected study sites in Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Enumerators will play a critical role in gathering high-quality, reliable field data. The role involves participating in mandatory field training, traveling to target intervention communities, administering survey instruments, and ensuring data integrity throughout the collection process.
2. General Duties & Responsibilities
- Training Participation: Attend and actively participate in all pre-deployment training sessions and pre-testing of survey instruments.
- Data Collection: Administer surveys and conduct interviews with target participants according to project protocols and sampling guidelines.
- Data Quality Control: Ensure completed questionnaires are accurate, complete, and uploaded/submitted daily according to supervisor instructions.
- Field Logistics & Ethics: Coordinate closely with team leaders, adhere to field ethics, obtain informed consent from all participants, and ensure strict confidentiality of respondent data.
- Community Engagement: Conduct interviews in the appropriate local languages while maintaining a respectful and cultural approach in target communities.

4. Qualifications & Key Skills
- Education: Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven prior experience as a quantitative or qualitative field enumerator or data collector.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, CSPro).
- Language Skills: Mandatory fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) in the specified local language(s) for the respective country applied for.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving abilities in field settings.
