JUDICIAL SERVICE COMMISSION EXTERNAL ADVERTS NO.2 AND 4 OF 2026

The secretary Judicial Service Commission, would like to inform all applicants who responded to the External Adverts No. 2 and 4 of 2026, which appeared in the New Vision of 27 January 2026 and 9t March 2026 respectively as follows; –

A. Shortlisting Process

The shortlisting process has been completed and the shortlists are ready for viewing on the JSC website: https://www.jsc.go.ug

The applicants who have not been shortlisted as well as the reason(s) for not being shortlisted have been communicated to each affected applicant through sms and email messages using the email addresses and telephone numbers provided by each applicant.

B. Aptitude Test.

It was decided that a ratio of one (1) vacancy to six (6) applicants (1:6), be used to determine the number of applicants to proceed for oral interviews.

All positions where the number of shortlisted applicants exceeds the above ratio, shall be subjected to aptitude test.

The date(s), venue and the detailed schedule for the aptitude test shall be communicated in the due course.

“To advance excellence in the Judiciary through merit based recruitment, impartial disciplinary control, review and recommendation of terms and conditions of service, judicial and public legal education and rendering advice to Government on administration of justice”.

C. Feed Back

Arising out of the shortlists, Applicants who have not been shortlisted and are not satisfied with the reasons provided for not being shortlisted, may formally write to the Secretary, Judicial Service Commission, from Friday 29th May to Thursday 4th June, 2026, by 5:00pm.

The responses to the complaints shall be provided by Friday 5th June, 2026

Please note that any complaint submitted outside the designated period (Friday 29th May to Thursday 4th June, 2026 by 5:00pm.) shall not be considered.

D. Oral Interviews

For the positions where the shortlisted applicants fall within the ratio of 1:6 each shortlisted candidate shall be invited for oral interviews individually through a letter of invitation and telephone call.

In the case of other positions where the number of shortlisted candidates is above the ratio mentioned, shall be considered after sitting aptitude test to determine the number of people to proceed for oral interviews.
