As a Laundry Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our guests and the team enjoy clean, fresh and well-presented linens and uniforms every day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wash, dry, iron and fold hotel linens, uniforms and towels to the highest standards
- Sort laundry by color, fabric and type before washing
- Operate washing machines, dryers and irons safely and efficiently
- Ensure correct use of detergents and follow washing instructions
- Inspect linens and report any damages or stains that cannot be removed
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the laundry area and storage rooms
- Ensure timely delivery of clean items to the relevant departments
- Assist with inventory of linen and laundry supplies
- Follow health, safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervison
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in laundry or housekeeping (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and products
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Neat appearance and good personal hygiene
- Ability to work on weekends and public holidays
- Honest, reliable and hardworking
- Ability to work as part of a team
