Legal Clerk (4 Positions)

Locations: Kampala, Lamwo, Kapchorwa, Iganga Reports to: Legal Officer

Job Purpose

The Legal Clerk will provide administrative and litigation support to Legal Officers and Advocates through case preparation, court coordination, filing, and records management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in trial preparation and scheduling client meetings.
  • Prepare, proofread, and file court documents.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital case files.
  • Follow up court matters and update lawyers’ diaries.
  • Serve legal documents and record service details.
  • Facilitate communication between courts and advocates.
  • Prepare periodic administrative reports.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma in Legal Practice (completed or in progress).
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of court procedures and legal documentation.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital filing systems.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
