Job Description
Responsible for the development, management, coordination, and delivery of library and information services across the university.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure efficient access to information resources, support teaching, learning and research, and provide strategic leadership for library services.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and implement library projects and programs.
• Develop library collections in consultation with academic departments.
• Chair Library Committee meetings.
• Monitor developments in information science.
• Oversee library databases and information systems.
• Coordinate with ICT and other information service providers.
• Support staff development and training.
• Supervise library staff and conduct meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science, Information Management, Records Management, Library Studies, or related field.
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in library management or information services.
• Experience in cataloguing, classification, archiving, and information resource management.

• Knowledge of emerging information science trends.
Application Requirements
• Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or related discipline is an added advantage.
• Membership in a recognized professional library association is desirable.
• Experience in academic, research, public, or special libraries preferred.
