Position: Machine Operator.

We are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced talent to work with Simbaland Industries Uganda. Suitable candidates are encouraged to apply for the position of Machine Operator.
Role Description
Manufacturing machinery to ensure high-quality output, adherence to production schedules and maintaining a tidy, safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Monitor machine performance during operation and ensure continuous production with minimal downtime
- Production monitoring: Meet daily, weekly and monthly production targets
- Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality standards and inspect products during and after production.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct machine checks before and after production and report machine malfunction promptly.
- Health and Safety compliance: Follow all workplace safety regulations and procedures, wear all the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and report accidents timely.
- Raw material handling: Ensure proper storage and handling of raw material, minimize wastage and monitor raw material consumption.
- Any other task assigned deemed necessary by management.
Skills and Competencies
- At least UACE and experience in machine operation and setup, basic mechanical troubleshooting, Equipment inspection and maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
- Result-driven with the ability to focus on achieving set objectives and goals
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions
- Team work, collaboration and Time management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
