Job Purpose
The Management Accountant will ensure financial stability, efficiency, and profitability for DT Logistics Limited.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Preparation and submission of accurate monthly management accounts by the 5th day following a month.
- Documentation and reconciliation of financial statements on weekly, monthly and annual basis while minimizing financial risk. This includes being aware of current processes, understanding company weaknesses, communicating areas of opportunity to better safeguard assets.
- Assist in budget This includes feeding individuals around the company data and on formation on historical spending’s across a variety of general ledger coding. This will include managing of forecasts and budgets on a daily, monthly and annual basis.
- Ensure financial compliance. This includes understanding external reporting requirements, ensuring proper resources are on hand to meet those requirements and overseeing the final product/ services being delivered to external parties.
- Act as an audit This includes meeting with external audit staff, being receptive to audit findings, implementing reporting changes, and communicating to upper authorities.
- Daily and monthly bank
- Submission of daily debtors’ position and weekly report on Monday cashflow meeting by close of Saturday following a week.
- Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, reflecting products or services Sending reminders for overdue payments and communicating with customers regarding outstanding balances.
Efficiently monitoring and collecting customer payments through process;
- Invoicing Process: Manage the entire invoicing process, from creation to distribution e. ensuring accurate and timely invoicing that reflects the products or services provided.
- Payment Collection: Responsible for ensuring the timely collection of payments from customers and Track and manage incoming payments, making sure the revenue flows smoothly into the organization.
- Accuracy and Efficiency: Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations related to accounts receivable i.e. this includes processing and monitoring incoming payments, verifying and positing receipts, and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers. Handle inquires, address discrepancies, and work collaboratively to resolve any payment-related issues.
Education and experience:
- A degree in Finance & Accounting, Degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration majoring in Finance or Accounts.
