Job Purpose
To support in managing financial processes and procedures and optimize costs so as to
ensure achievement of the set business objectives.
Responsibilities
Trust account reconciliation
 Support in the preparation of daily Trust account reconciliation as per group format
in or any other format that provides the most accurate picture of the goings on in
the account.
 Support in the follow up of the reconciling items and endeavor to resolve all issues
whether process or system related
Airtel Money Partners and Suppliers Payments
 Support in the processing of partners’ payments after checking the invoice for
accuracy and completeness
 Support in seeking approval of cheques /transfers and follow up with the bank to
ensure settlement within the set timelines.
 Support in Posting payments into the system in a timely manner.
Merchants settlements
 Support in the preparation of Merchants settlements after verification and
validation of their respective collections as per contractual obligations.
 Reconcile cash collection merchant accounts daily against balance movement in the
respective virtual account.
 Initiate settlements for above as and when due.
 Handle Merchants queries and concerns relating to their account statements.
Manage invoicing & receipting of Airtel partners
 Raise invoices to Merchants in Oracle before monthly AR closure
 Send invoices to respective partners
 Receipt in Oracle payments received from Airtel Money Partners.
 Analyze and maintain trade debtors schedule.
Person Specification
Education, Training,
Skills & Experience
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
 University Degree in Accounting or Business
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
 Good knowledge of all accounting functional areas
 1 years’ experience and knowledge of working with commissions statements,
bank reconciliations, accounts payable and/or receivables, and general ledger
accounting
Other requirements (Behavioral etc.)
 Team Leadership

 Ability to influence and get things done quickly
 Ability to work in a cross-cultural/ cross-country environment
 Creativity (out-of-the box thinking) and Commercial Acumen
