Job Requirements/Responsibilities:
- 1. Transport study samples and test results between study sites and the laboratory in accordance with study procedures, safety standards, and specified timelines.
- 2. Support the distribution and redistribution of study supplies, materials, and documents between study sites to ensure uninterrupted study operations.
- 3. Maintain the assigned motorcycle in good working condition, keep accurate mileage records, and submit timely monthly fuel and maintenance accountabilities.
- 4. Support participant retention activities, including tracing and follow-up of participants who miss scheduled study visits, as directed by the study team.
- 5. Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and adherence to study schedules, organizational policies, and standard operating procedures.
- 6. Maintain utmost confidentiality and protection of client results and any other health related information and identity
- 7. Maintain comprehensive records of samples collected, results picked and delivered, bike maintenance/repairs and daily movements made.
- 8. Prepare and submit weekly reports to the hub coordinator
Qualifications:
- UCE : Minimum of O-Level (UCE) education but with certificate in medical laboratory or any related medical field – Optional
- CERTIFICATE : Certificate or diploma in medical laboratory or Nursing or other related medical fields – Added Advantage
Certifications:
- Valid motorcycle license with a clean riding record. – Mandatory
- GCP, Responsible conduct of research(RCR) or Human Subject Protection Certificate(HSP) – Added Advantage
Skill & Experience:
- Knowledge of proper handling and transportation of infectious and hazardous substances. – Mandatory
- Able to take and follow instructions and to exercise good Judgement – Added Advantage
- Knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations. – Added Advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. – Added Advantage
