Reports to: Senior Research Fellow (SRF- HOD)

Main Role:

• Undertake empirical economic policy research and analysis.
• Engage in commissioned work for and on behalf of the Centre.
• Based on research findings and sound analysis, contribute to national policy discourse.

Candidates for the Volunteer Research Associate program should be Ugandans and must have the following:

• A Minimum of a Master’s or doctorate degree by coursework & research in economics, quantitative economics, statistics, or a related economic field from a reputable University
• Strong training background in economic theory and methods
• Demonstrated ability to use STATA, for data analysis
• Excellent writing skills
• High-level interpersonal and good communication skills
• Unquestionable integrity

The Volunteer Research Associate position is for one (1) year contract, with a possibility for renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
