Job Summary: The Credit Administrator will supervise a team of credit officers in line with the credit policies, and procedures and set targets as expected from the institution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handling the credit team in managing the daily administration of loan documentation in full compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Review loan documents and liaise with internal and external parties to ensure proper and efficient delivery of credit administration duties.
- Conduct a periodical review of loan administration policy and procedures to streamline workflow.
- Control the recording, deposit, and withdrawal of the security documentation properly.
- Generate, review and maintain loan disbursement reports for presentation to credit committees, and provide monthly reports on the same, in accordance with the credit policy and guidelines.
- Ensure all lending documentation is complete as per the Company Policy and Procedures with respect to the amount financed, terms and conditions, borrower’s borrowing mandate, authorized signatory etc.
- Ensure that there is a robust process for the safe custody and control of all security documents.
- Responsible for collateral valuation, collateral monitoring and collateral reconciliation with original documents.
- Submit monthly and annual reports to the Supervisor.
- Assign performance targets to the credit and monitor their performance.
- Ensuring post-disbursement compliance with approved terms and conditions in line with the credit policy.
- Generate and review daily system credit monitoring and management reports and identify non-performing accounts with irregularities and proactively follow up to ensure corrective action is taken in line with credit policy.
- Monitor all irregularities, past dues, documentation deficiencies, etc., and report to the Branch Manager.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and specifications:
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, microfinance, or any related field.
- Have at least 3-5 years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, marketing or financial analysis experience; prior experience in a Credit supervisory role is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, characterized by excellent writing and speaking skills.
- Must possess excellent multi-tasking skills and be able to function under pressure.
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments with minimum supervision and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to use a tablet/smartphone/computer, experience with Google Applications is an advantage.
- Knowledge of asset/motorcycle financing is a plus.
