Assistant Shipping Manager
Key Requirements
- Experience of about 5 to 8 years in logistics industry
- Preferably from coffee industry experience within Uganda
- Capable of handling end to end coffee logistics, from arranging containers from different shipping lines and confirming the bookings
- Assigning the contracts for the for the containers, awareness in managing various shipping documents like tally sheet, understanding the importance of SI,
- Generating BLS, quality certificates, fumigation and documentation, etc
- Understanding different types of exports conditions on a FOB basis, CIF, ETC
- Should have experience in handling and coordinating with the forwarders
- Should have fair bit of knowledge in handling the Kenya port authorities
