Stride Development Sacco is one of fast-growing financial institutions in the Rwenzori sub region. The Sacco is located on plot 4-6, Kihika road, Kisanga B cell, Nyamwamba division, Kasese municipality with members coming from the districts of Kasese, Bunyangabu, Rubirizi, Kabarole, Bundibugyo, Kampala among others. The Sacco is in the final stages of establishing new branches to extend services nearer to the members.

JOB TITLE: BRANCH MANAGER
The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading branch operations, focusing on business growth (deposits and loans), financial performance, staff supervision, and risk management. He/she is responsible for implementing marketing strategies to increase membership, ensuring compliance with SACCO policies, managing loan portfolios, and providing superior customer service to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Roles
- Business Growth & Performance: Driving the growth of deposits, loan portfolios, and membership to achieve targets.
- Operational Management: Overseeing daily cash transactions, maintaining liquidity, and managing the overall operational efficiency of the branch.
- Credit Administration: Facilitating, reviewing, and approving loans, as well as managing loan collections and recoveries.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensuring the branch complies with internal credit policies, the Cooperatives Act, and AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism) frameworks.
- Leadership & Team Management: Supervising staff, including loan officers and tellers, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Marketing & Customer Care: Developing local marketing strategies and enhancing customer satisfaction to build loyalty.
Common Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar or supervisory position, preferably within a financial institution or microfinance setup.
- Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills, along with a good understanding of SACCO principles.
