DECLARATION OFFICER-EXPORTS
Position Description
Job Title: Declaration Officer-Exports
Reports To: Airfreight Manager
Location Entebbe
Job Purpose & Mission
To ensure timely, proper, and correct customs declaration and classification with a view of
meeting the company’s objective of clearing within 3 working days.
Responsibilities
• Ensure timely customs/ entry declaration is done.
• Ensure knowledge of all custom tariff and all procedures pertaining to clearance.
• Ensure all documents required for declaration are in order.
• Ensure declaration is correctly done and on time upon receipt of all clearing
documents from COMs.
• Ensure entries are properly captured in Asycuda with all necessary documents for
timely release from customs.
• Liaise with COMs for any required documents from clients.
• Update COMs for any new customs requirements/ changes.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree
• Certificate in Clearing and Forwarding
