1. Background
Impala Healthtech Research Limited is a digital health and research-driven company developing and deploying technology-enabled solutions to strengthen healthcare delivery, diagnostics, and antimicrobial stewardship in low- and middle-income settings. Through DIGAMS, the company connects health facilities, laboratories, and healthcare professionals to improve access to diagnostics, guide clinical decision-making, and promote responsible antimicrobial use.
2. Objectives
– Strengthen internal diagnostic logistics and sample referral capacity
– Support collection, transport, and delivery of microbiology and other diagnostic samples
– Provide technical support to health facilities during onboarding and implementation
– Support ongoing projects, field operations, and commercial activities
– Contribute to marketing and stakeholder engagement where required
3. Scope of Work and Responsibilities
A. Diagnostic logistics and sample referral
– Collect and transport microbiology and other diagnostic samples from client facilities to partner laboratories
– Ensure proper handling, packaging, storage, and transportation according to biosafety standards
– Coordinate referrals and deliveries within established turnaround times
– Maintain accurate records of all sample movements and deliveries
– Support expansion and efficiency of the internal rider and logistics network
B. Technical and client support
– Support health facilities during onboarding and implementation of DIGAMS and related services
– Provide basic technical support and user guidance to clients
– Assist in sample collection activities within professional scope
– Escalate technical or operational issues to relevant teams
C. Program and commercial operations support
– Support implementation of projects, pilots, and public health programs
– Assist with field coordination, training, and supervision visits
– Support customer engagement activities and field logistics planning
D. Marketing and stakeholder engagement
– Support marketing activations and represent the company professionally in field engagements
– Assist in identifying opportunities for partnerships and client engagement
E. Reporting and documentation
– Prepare weekly activity reports and operational summaries
– Document challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations
4. Required Qualifications and Competencies
– Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Laboratory Technology, or related health sciences
– Valid Class A driving permit with confident and safe motorcycle riding ability
– Experience in diagnostic logistics, laboratory operations, or healthcare field implementation is an advantage
– Strong interpersonal communication, organisation, and documentation skills
– Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours
5. Confidentiality and ethics
– Sign an NDA before commencement
– Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
– Adhere to ethical standards and biosafety requirements
6. Intellectual property and termination
All work products remain the property of Impala Healthtech Research Limited. Either party may terminate the engagement by one month’s written notice.
