We’re Hiring | EIT Engineer (Electrical & Instrument)

Project: East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP)
China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. (CPP) is looking for an experienced EIT Engineer (Electrical & Instrument) to join our EACOP project team in Uganda.
If you have extensive experience in Electrical & Instrument engineering within oil & gas, pipeline, petrochemical, or large infrastructure projects and are ready to work in a multicultural environment, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Clarify technical issues related to Electrical & Instrument drawings.
- Coordinate with COMPANY representatives, contractors, and site construction teams.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables, including calculations, shop drawings, material specifications, and construction details.
- Support route optimization, design changes, and field engineering activities.
- Provide technical support during construction, fabrication, erection, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, QA/QC requirements, and HSE standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Participate in design review meetings, constructability assessments, and technical training.
- Prepare technical reports and ensure timely documentation of engineering activities.
- Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
Requirements
V Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
V Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in Electrical & Instrument engineering.
V Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, pipeline, or large infrastructure projects.
V International project experience in engineering, construction management, or site coordination is preferred.
V Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
V Familiar with international engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
V Strong knowledge of Electrical & Instrument systems, P&IDs, vendor documentation, QA/QC procedures, and field engineering support.
V Experience in design change management, technical reporting, document control, and interface coordination.
V Familiar with pre-commissioning, completion, and punch list clearance.
V Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
V Excellent communication, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
