We’re Hiring: Executive Assistant — Kampala, Uganda An influential female professional in law, governance, and business is seeking a highly organized personal assistant to support her in brand management, social media management, and administrative roles. This role requires someone who exhibits excellent organizational skills, brand and social media management skills, is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and can handle tasks with minimal supervision.

Role Purpose

The Executive Personal Assistant provides high-level, confidential, and proactive administrative, operational, and client-facing support to a Partner — optimizing productivity, enabling seamless coordination of legal and non-legal activities, and supporting client engagement, billing, and practice growth. The role requires autonomy, discretion, strong organization, and professional judgment within a fast-paced law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Filter, prioritise, and respond to email correspondence
  • Manage calendar and scheduling, avoiding conflicts
  • Organise and maintain electronic/physical files with strict confidentiality
  • Prepare agendas, assemble meeting materials, take minutes
  • Draft, proofread, and manage confidential correspondence and documents
  • Maintain and update contact databases/CRM
  • Carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned

Personal Brand Management

  • Maintain her brand identity across all platforms
  • Conduct market research on trends and brand development opportunities

Social Media Management

  • Plan, schedule, and manage content across X, Linkedin, YouTube, Instagram, and
    TikTok
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages
  • Track analytics and recommend growth strategies

Travel Arrangements

  • Book flights, hotels, transportation; prepare itineraries
  • Coordinate visa applications for employer and family

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Source and liaise with venues, vendors, suppliers
  • Manage event budgets and expenses
  • Manage guest lists, invitations, RSVPs
  • Prepare event materials and documentation
  • Assist with themes, décor, and entertainment
  • Ensure smooth execution and resolve issues
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and reports

Personal Errands

  • Purchase gifts/supplies as needed
  • Handle banking/financial transactions on employer’s behalf
  • Schedule personal appointments (medical, personal care)
  • Perform other personal-nature tasks as required

Additional High-Level Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management with clients, government offices, and high-profile contacts
  • Budget & Expense Administration — petty cash, reconciliations, invoices
  • Project & Task Coordination across teams and vendors
  • Vendor & Supplier Negotiation for events, travel, services
  • Discretion & sound judgement on sensitive matters
  • Coordination with drivers, clerks, and household staff
  • Crisis & Problem Management – proactive resolution, escalating only when necessary
  • Protocol & Representation – professional etiquette at meetings/events

Candidate Profile

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in social media tools and basic design platforms (Canva, Photoshop, CapCut)
  • Experience in brand, marketing, or social media management
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle confidential information
  • Flexible, self-motivated, proactive, reliable
  • Strong time-management, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Positive attitude, pragmatic problem-solving approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and IT literacy
  • Must have a personal computer
  • Must be able to start work immediately

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university in Law, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field.

Experience

At least 2 years’ experience in social media management, content production, and brand management. Executive assistant experience is an added advantage.
