Job Purpose
To provide effective financial management and reporting by ensuring compliance with relevant laws, IFRS, and organizational policies, while supporting budgeting, tax compliance, audits, and financial analysis to enhance overall business performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial management policies, systems, and procedures in compliance with regulations.
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze annual, monthly, and capital budgets to support business performance.
- Ensure financial transactions comply with IFRS and organizational policies.
- Reconcile customer and supplier accounts and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend process improvements.
- Manage tax compliance, statutory filings, and liaise with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of
audit findings. - Carry out other finance and administrative responsibilities as assigned by management.
Key Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, or a related field..
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (Uganda) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance or tax management; experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of SAP ERP is preferred.
