Role Overview
The Manager, Partnerships is a key driver of ETRANZACT PLATFORM LIMITED’s
growth strategy, responsible for building, nurturing, and scaling strategic relationships
that expand the company’s reach and strengthen its position in the digital financial
services ecosystem. This role combines business development acumen with
relationship management expertise, ensuring that partnerships deliver tangible value
across payments, lending, wallets, remittances, and agent networks.
The successful candidate will identify and secure high-impact collaborations with
financial institutions, fintechs, telecoms, regulators, and agent networks, while ensuring
that partnership models are commercially viable, compliant, and aligned with the
company’s long-term vision. By fostering trust, negotiating win-win agreements, and
driving joint initiatives, the Manager, Partnerships will enable sustainable revenue
growth, enhance customer access, and reinforce ETRANZACT PLATFORM
LIMITED’s reputation as a trusted partner in digital finance.
This leader will serve as the connector between external stakeholders and internal
execution teams, ensuring that partnerships are not only signed but successfully
implemented, scaled, and optimized for mutual success.

Key Responsibilities
This role will manage the partnerships team by strategically focusing on sales lead
development and managing relationships with key partners to enhance business
growth, product co-creation, and customer satisfaction through collaborative and
mutually beneficial partnerships.

1. Partnership Development
a) Identify and assess new partnership opportunities that can generate net new clients
for the business
b) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and
execution of partnerships.
Relationship Management
a) Maintain and nurture existing partnerships, ensuring mutual benefits and strategic
objectives are met.
b) Develop strategies to enhance partner engagement and satisfaction.
c) Act as a primary point of contact for partners, addressing any challenges and
identifying areas for improvement.
2. Strategic Leadership
a) Develop and implement a partnership strategy that aligns with business growth
objectives.
b) Analyse market trends and competitive landscapes to inform partnership strategies.

c) Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on partnership-
related initiatives.

Performance Measurement
a) Set and monitor partnership performance metrics, ensuring alignment with business
goals.
b) Prepare regular reports on partnership initiatives and outcomes for senior
management.
c) Utilise data-driven approaches to optimize partnership strategies and contribute to
company growth.
Sales Management
a) Attending partner meetings and negotiations to develop and strengthen
relationships.
b) Managing the sales pipeline, identifying growth opportunities, and developing
strategies to capture them.
c) Analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and developing reports to inform
strategic decisions.
d) Providing training and support to partner sales teams, ensuring they have the
necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
e) Collaborating with internal teams to develop and execute strategies that drive
revenue growth and increase market share.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a
related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred, especially with a focus on strategy,
partnerships, or financial services.
• Additional coursework or certifications in digital finance, fintech innovation, or
strategic management would be advantageous.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or
sales within fintech, payments, banking, or telecom sectors, with at least 4 years in a
leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully building and managing high-impact partnerships
that delivered measurable business results.
• Deep understanding of the Ugandan and East African financial services ecosystem,
including regulations from the Bank of Uganda and relevant authorities.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage
C-level executives and stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in the payments or fintech industry is highly preferred.
• Ability to travel as required within Uganda and the region.
