Watoto Christian International Schools are Christian schools founded by Watoto Church Ministries. The schools follow the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E) curriculum, with a vision to raise Godly transformational leaders.
Job Purpose.
We are seeking a competent and enthusiastic Monitor – High School to support Christian education and nurture godly, transformational leaders by facilitating learning, developing skills, and promoting the moral growth of learners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
- Conduct pre-class goal checks using the checklist; verify attendance, record findings, and report discrepancies to the Supervisor without disrupting students.
- Safeguard learning centre resources by maintaining proper custody and promoting optimal use of equipment.
- Identify students requiring supervision and guide completion of assigned goals, including specified pages, sections, and tests.
- Monitor completion of daily learner goals; issue homework slips where necessary and supervise detention sessions.
- Coordinate parent conferences, respond to national flag requests, manage weekly goal cards, and maintain accurate student records.
- Enforce school procedures to maintain discipline, order, and student health and safety on and off campus.
- Model the School’s Vision, Mission, and Values while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
- Support the Supervisor in managing student discipline; follow up on behavioural concerns, make referrals, and implement disciplinary procedures.
- Promote student progress and welfare, including behaviour and dress standards, while setting a positive personal example.
- Participate in mentoring, co-curricular activities, and skills development programmes.
- Foster a respectful and supportive learning environment that meets the 0 needs of both learners and teachers.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience.
- The applicant for the role should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Education from a recognised university.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a classroom setting.
- Training in ACE Supervisor/Monitor is an added advantage.
- Strong collaboration skills with a proactive, goal-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
