Job Purpose.

We are seeking a competent and enthusiastic Monitor – Primary School to support Christian education and nurture godly, transformational leaders by facilitating learning, developing skills, and promoting the moral growth of learners…

Key Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Facilitate reading skills development for learners in the ABC class to strengthen foundational literacy.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, complete Goal Check Reports, and issue corrective action notices and homework assignments as required
  • Prepare and organise tests, new PACEs, and related learning materials; file completed PACEs and tests appropriately.
  • Recognise learner achievement by preparing congratulatory slips for successfully passed PACE tests.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the scoring station and learning centre at all times.
  • Supervise students to maintain discipline, safety, and a conducive learning environment.
  • Respond promptly to non-academic concerns and attend to students’ routine needs.
  • Review homework assignments and learner goals, and update the Goal Check Report for the supervisor.
  • Monitor the scoring station and enforce proper use of score keys, issuing merits and demerits where appropriate.
  • Support student development by listening to scripture memory, supervising detention, and escalating concerns to the supervisor.
  • Observe learner progress and focus, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
  • Uphold and mode! the School’s Vision, Mission, and Values with professionalism and integrity.
  • Safeguard school resources by ensuring proper use and secure custody of assigned equipment.
  • Participate in mentoring, co-curricular activities, and skills development programmes.
  • Promote learner well-being, ensuring safety, welfare, and holistic development.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience.

  • The applicant for the role should hold at least a Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in
    Education from a recognised university.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a classroom setting.
    Training in ACE Supervisor/Monitor or Early Childhood Development methodologies is an added advantage.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a proactive, goal-oriented approach.
    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
