Job Title: NATIONAL CONTENT & SOCIAL OFFICER
Reports to: NATIONAL CONTENT&SOCIAL LEAD

CEMENTERS UGANDA LIMITED invites applications from suitable qualified persons for its construction activities under the scope EPSCC-Permanent Buildings on the Tilenga project.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure national content is cascaded down the supply chain by suppliers through follow-up and advising on execution of activities and enhance national content with in the supply chain. (such as guidance notes, tools and templates)
- Ensure timely submission of national content reports to the contractor and by the liaison officer
- Review, advise, improve and validate submission of accurate reports by the social team.
- Assist in the design and implementation of internal and external national content program activities especially capacity building activities knowledge in handling social matters and community engagements
- Record, assess and investigate staff social issues as they may arise and ensure full end to end closure.
- Stakeholder engagement; attending all meetings where need be in the project vicinities as a stakeholder requirement by the contractor
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum education: Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences, or Social Work and Social Administration or Human Rights and Conflict Resolution in Africa or Public Administration
- Proven knowledge of using Micro software packages i.e excel, outlook, PowerPoint, word-(MUST)
- Good knowledge and understanding of procurement and contracting especially in Oil&Gas
SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of workplace relations.
- Accustomed to working in fast moving and changing environment.
- Culturally aware and adapt at working across multiple geographies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, internally and externally.
- Work with minimum supervision
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 or 3 years of work experience in a reputable organization preferably NGO
