OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER
LOCATION: LUGAZI, UGANDA
INDUSTRY: STEEL MANUFACTURING
Key Responsibilities
- Implement OSH policies & procedures
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections and audits
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Investigate incidents & recommend corrective actions
- Conduct safety training & awareness programs
Enforce use of PPE & maintain safety records - Liaise with regulatory authorities
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role (manufacturing preferred)
- Certification in OSH is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of Ugandan OSH laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, analytical & problem-solving skills

- Ability to work under pressure & enforce compliance
- Strong leadership & training skills
