Work station: Moroto district

1. Outlet Sales & Customer Management;

  • Receive and record all produce delivered to the outlet from farmer groups.
  • Manage day today sales of produce at the outlet to walk-in buyers, traders and institutional clients.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Ensure produce is properly displayed and clean.
  • Negotiate prices with buyers to maximise returns for farmer groups and AMAD Ltd.

2. Produce Handling & Quality Control;

  • Receive, inspect and sort incoming produce to ensure quality meets buyer standards.
  • Coordinate grading and bulking of produce at the outlet level in liaison with the Produce Marketeer & Agents Co-ordinator.
  • Manage proper storage of produce at the outlet to minimise post-harvest losses.
  • Flag any quality or quantity issues to the Produce Marketeer & Agents Co-ordinator promptly.

3. Market Intelligence & Pricing;

  • Monitor outlet and local market prices.
  • Share pricing updates and buyer demand trends with the Produce Marketeer & Agents Co-ordinator to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Maintain an updated contacts list of active buyers and prospective clients.

4. Coordination with the Marketing Team;

  • Work closely with the Produce Marketeer & Agents Co-ordinator to align outlet stock levels with incoming produce from farmer groups.
  • Communicate daily outlet sales and stock updates to the team via AMAD Karamoja Produce WhatsApp group.

5. Reporting & Documentation;

  • Maintain accurate daily records of produce received, sold and remaining at the outlet.
  • Keep organised transaction records for audit and reference purposes.
  • Submit monthly sales report to your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE;

  • A diploma or degree in Agribusiness or Agriculture.
  • At least 1 year of experience in sales, produce trading or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with agricultural produce markets in Karamoja or a similar context is a strong advantage.
  • Basic numeracy skills and ability to maintain simple sales records.
